this is easy, but when you get a worded question in the exam all this goes pffff

tip: when handling questions where you need to subtract the answer from one, after getting the answer for the first half, change the setting back to calculate and immediately do 1-Ans. saves time snd reduces human error.

your breakdown on the topics and working the way gradually through difficulty levels is really helping with my As levels rn, thanks a lot mate :)

very very good format of breaking down this topic well done mate

I have seen you write the whole values. You can actually store them as Alpha letters like A for example. Select value and press Sto on calculator and then press the letter you want it to store as. Then go to number 1 of the menu section and write "1-A" etc

This is amazing - explained way better than the textbook. Textbook talks through using binomial tables but that seems so much harder than just using a calculator correctly. Is there any reason to use the physical tables or can I just forget about them?

Thanks I just need to be reminded when to do the 1-the binomial this was v helpful for my mock tomorrow

Thank you very much, very clearly explained and straight to the point which can be appreciated on a topic like statistics. This is a very underrated channel, thank you.

Hi, very informative video, however I have a question as such which I can't seem to find anywhere:

If X~B(42, 0.52) find P(18 < X < 24)

My attempt was P(X <= 17) + P(X >= 25) and I got 0.29601. Not sure if it's correct or not.
Your help would be much appreciated

On Question 7 why is it not P(x=<5)-P(x=<1)? Don't you include the value for 1?

thanks so much for this, helping me recap the things i forgot has been really helpful

Can you jus use binomial CD for q 2, and 4? Using fx - CG50 ? Or shld you know how to calc w out the calc as well

My calculator doesn't have the binomial function thing. I need to do my homework but it requires this, is there anyway I can do it on an older calculator or will I have to buy a new one?

so if you had the probability for a discrete distribution of x being greater than 4 but less than 9 how would you write that quicker using cumulative distribution instead of doing p(x=5)+p(x=6)+p(x=7)+p(x=8)

Hi sir, is there a reason why you give the decimals to 4d.p. or is 3s.f. fine?

how do you calculate this without a calculator??

Would you be able to please help, I have the question: which of the following is the same as P(X<=8) - P(X<=4)?
Is it P(4<=X<=8), P(4<=X<=7), P(5<=X<=8) or P(5<=X<=7) ?

when saying x<= 0 could you use binomial pd and say x = 0?
