Hot off the release of their lauded track ‘Cut It Like A Diamond’, new single ‘Lamplighter’ is a melodic, seemingly upbeat, pop song - “It’s the poppiest song on the album and we created our own tape machine mellotron especially for it.” . But underneath the deceptively upbeat exterior is a darkness, quoting from an intense letter by Fanny Burney, and trying to reconcile growing older whilst remaining young at heart: “At what age do we stop wanting more?”
