DANIEL SMITH'S 'Moonglow' Extra Fine WATERCOLOUR Paint | WATERCOLOR Rhinocerous Painting

Hi Guys!
Welcome back to my channel and another video. Today I'm testing out one of Daniel Smith's Extra Fine Watercolors in the shade 'Moonglow'. This is a 3 pigment blend comprising, Viridian Grey: Ultramarine Blue and Anthraquinone red. In this video I look at the different properties of this paint and test out a few different watercolour techniques on a painting of a rhinocerous! I hope you enjoy the video and find it interesting or useful in some way!
Have you tried this paint? I'd love to know what you think of it and what you use it for in your own watercolor paintings- leave a acomment in the box below and be sure to give this video a like and subscribe. I really appreciate all your support.

Have a great weekend!

Sarah

Hi everyone! I had a lot of fun trying moonglow for this video but realise I made a mistake where I called pigment PG18 viridian grey! 🙄 PG 18 viridian is GREEN -so my apologies! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all next week! 😊

This was fun! Makes me want my tiny tube of Moonglow to arrive even quicker...should I have bought a 15ml and not have been so tight?! 🤭🤣

I use Moonglow for all of my dark values in botanical paintings. It is also a lovely shadow color and makes the most beautiful dusty greens. Beautiful paining Sarah!

Love your Rhino. He is gorgeous 😍
I have this color in one of my pallets. And I should really use it more.
I find Daniel Smith to be harder to rewet, when it's dried in the pallet. I think that's why I don't use it as much as it deserves.
Anyways, love the video. Thank you so much for another informative video💜

All you tubers do a wonderful job, just pin the info on the chat, I have the three colors and mix my own, I can lean it toward more green, or blue or red, it needs to be mixed in the well the blue and green are granulating, so they seperate out.
