The traditional entertainment and advertising industries are heavily regulated when it comes to children, but parent-produced online content is not. If a channel is monetized, does the Tiktoker need to pay her children? If it's not, do any labor laws still apply? I think these and related questions will hit courts within the next 5 years, if they havent already. I can see a man suing his children's mother on their behalf for back pay from her IG, for example. Cases coming up will set precedent.

I hate those family influences. They are exploiting their children for money. There are so many sick people on the internet.

I recently heard a story about someone whose children picture was stolen from social media. The person who stole it posted the pic himself while claiming that the children are his. It's mindblowing how parents would expose their kids to thousands of strangers on the internet. People don't seem to realize how dangerous it is.

There’s a difference between sharing photos/videos of children on trips or family events and sharing every single part of their life as content

I agree. Your children should not be in a video. If they are accidentally, blur out their faces.

It's illegal in many clothes countries. It is in Germany, & the EU has strict rules.

The media regulation on children in entertainment should be applied to YouTube nowadays.

What I find so weird is that the influencers and the commenters of their content act like none of it is staged. For sure, many of the shots and videos are planned in advance. How often are you catching one parent sleeping sweetly with the child, all laying perfectly? Yes, you took your child to the beach or on an exciting trip, but was it mainly for content?

I have always been incensed about the father who filmed his little boy who was drugged out after having gone to the dentist and then the father later sold the video "David after Dentist" for a big sum. It was child abuse and child exploitation.

I believe the Tingman channel is an example of the kids doing it because they want to.

People also give birth, bring a human being to all issues in life without consent, for their own selfish needs, exploit a 3rd person for their own benefit.
