They sound fine, but its a different band. No Jani, no Jerry....its just a different band now. Warrant died with Jani.

The big difference in Jani vs Robert is Jani lived to connect with the audience, Robert seems more into the rock star act on stage. Saw Warrant at Meadowbrook in Detroit in like 88ish and Jani toured main floor on a bodyguards shoulders, came all the way back to the lawn section as fans hugged him and he hugged them, singing from a security guy's shoulders. It was the connection with people for Jani, that's whats sorely lacking with Robert...the personal connection.

I love Robert Mason's voice, and all the albums he did with Lynch Mob and Big Cock...but I just can't enjoy his singing in Warrant. His voice is too rich, and too bluesy for Warrant. I am happy for their success in being able to still tour the country, and have a career that they earned, but sadly for me, it just doesn't work. Cheers to them though!

YouTube is pounding me w live warrant videos and I cant get it up for them. They are all horrific. Robert Mason is not a bad singer. He is worse. He is incredibly avg and hos voice is wrong for these songs. Hes been with them for a decade and they cant sell out a 200 seat bar. I guess they are happy. The band was always Janis fucking lane and some other dudes
