High Opportunity Schools! - Fundación Acción Joven

In Costa Rica, 23,000 high school students are outside the national education system. High Opportunity Schools aims to prevent and address this educational exclusion, through a comprehensive approach. We support teachers in strengthening their capacities for permanence and early identification of students at risk of dropping out. Simultaneously, we train high school students in life and vocational skills to improve their educational trajectories. This allows for an innovative, systemic and sustainable impact, generating greater installed capacity in public schools and establishing protective factors to ensure permanence and inclusion for all.

Fundacion Accion Joven is a Costa Rican NGO dedicated since 2006 to empower youth in vulnerable situations, through the development of educational skills, employability and violence prevention, in partnership with public institutions, international cooperation, business sector, academia and other civil society organizations.
