As a first-generation Chinese American, I've noticed a significant shift in my community. Many Chinese Americans are distancing themselves from the Democratic Party and embracing the GOP candidates. This change stems from a concern that the Democratic Party is leading the country in the wrong direction. They hope that Trump's election can restore meritocracy and public safety, secure borders, and improve the economy.

Generally, Asian people are quiet on who they are voting for. I don’t see any of my Asian family or friends express their political view on social media nor do we talk about it amongst each other. However, we are very much in tune and aware of what’s going on and although not publicly expressed, many Asian communities are voting for Trump.

I am a cambodian American have been a republican since I emigrated to the Bay Area in 1981. 5 years later I became a citizen. I have been voting republican all these years. I am glad that some of good Americans that I know in church helped me to understand what both parties stand for. I chose republican. Since I am able to vote I never missed voting. Now I am encouraging more of my friends to vote and register to vote. And they all voted for Trump!
