Dinky Toys was the brand name for a range of die-cast zamak zinc alloy scale model vehicles, traffic lights, and road signs produced by British toy company Meccano Ltd. They were made in England from 1934 to 1979, at a factory in Binns Road in Liverpool. Dinky Toys were among the most popular die-cast vehicles ever made – pre-dating other popular die-cast marques, including Corgi, Matchbox and Mattel's Hot Wheels.

Once again, so many old favourites here. I spent hours scanning these catalogues (and Airfix, Matchbox and later Tamiya). Now 59 I am still a keen model maker and the hobby really has been a huge part of my life. Thanks for sharing.

fantastic stuff! i still have many of the Dinky toys shown here, i love Corgi but i think Dinky were every bit as good and actually had a better more diverse range
