As a retired letter carrier, I can definitely say it was the high point of the day seeing a bunch of 4 legged friends on the route. Always had to have a few treats on hand. Of course there were always a couple who wanted to tear me up too.

You have no idea how happy that makes mail carriers whenever dogs are super friendly.... I had a mailman that use to play w/ my little pitbull mix and he'd roll around w/ him on the ground, but then again he did hang out w/ us for 20 minutes to drink a beer or something on a hot day, he was the best mailman I've ever had and he was like 10 years older than me and I was in my early 20s at the time. LoL

I had that same luxury that Shaun has, and it’s priceless. Dino, was a Jack Russell terrier that followed me on my walking route for years . I always traveled with water for both him and me . At the end of the day, I would drive him home . Thank Goodness I didn’t have to split my pension with him!

Our female is 130 Lbs, 12 Yrs old, and almost completely blind. If she hears or smells our grandkids she’s immediately a puppy again. If she could crawl in their pockets she would. She has no clue she’s not a lap dog. ♥️
