SMITE Coming Soon to Xbox One! (Gamescom 2014 Announcement)

SMITE is a FREE-TO-PLAY online battleground between gods.

SMITE is a third-person action MOBA. Instead of having a traditional isometric view (RTS), you are IN THE ACTION with a tight third-person camera. Enjoy detailed graphics and visual effects. Experience ACTION combat, dodging, and aiming with almost all attacks being skill-shot. SMITE is Free-to-Play but not pay-to-win.

If you're not going to play it on a console, I don't understand why you feel the need to comment on it. To each their own. I think it's cool, obviously I'm still gonna play on the computer but I don't see the problem with this at all

This is such a great move, continue trying to pull players away from LoL & DoTa 2. Meanwhile going after a brand new and untapped market "Console moba"

1) just keep the PC and XBOX servers seperate. I don't want to play with them, and they don't want to play with me.

2) I'm worried about the creative influence Microsoft will have over  Hirez now... Don't get pushed over.

3) Don't make certain things exclusive. Like, don't make an Xbox exclusive skin or vice versa. You'll create hate and a greater divide among the PC and console communities.

Why is everyone so upset? This is exactly what SMITE needs to become more popular. It's not like we'll see the Xbox One players on the PC servers.

I swear I'm trying really hard not to complain about this...if it gives you guys money to improve the game good for you and us BUT.

Please never EVER match Xbox players with PC's! I will NEVER play again if I get matched with people moving, shooting and juking with a controller. NEVER.

Obviously PC will be more competitive, as you have way more control and more keybinds, but that doesn't even matter, because HOLY CRAP AM I EXCITED!

I may or may not play it on the Xbox, but I'm happy and proud of hi Rez that they're putting it on the one. Console gamers, you guys are in for a real treat. :)

Although I think the servers should be kept separate, it would be AWSOME to be able to use the same account between the two platforms with your god unlocks and levels etc.

In case you guys didn't know Michael from RoosterTeeth played with an Xbox controller for the Smite Let's Play. So this was seen from a very looong time ago

Honestly the player base for this is going to be very small already, the only way I see this having a chance is if it is on both consoles and they find a way so that xbone players can go against ps4 players.  Otherwise, you're going to be playing with the same 200 people all day.  I mean, smite isn't that popular of a game as is.  The majority of their player base isn't going to move to consoles to play this game.  Also, unless the advertising is brilliant, it's not going to gather too many more from consoles.

I had my Xbox Controller settings like this and its the best set up for me at least.  D-Pad ranks up your 4 abilities, this way you can level them up while fighting.  Y is your 1, X is your 2, A is your 3 and B is your ult. I set the D-Pad up so that the leveling of abilities matches the ability on the Y, X, A, B buttons.  Right Trigger is to basic attack and do abilities, Left Trigger is to cancel abilities, start button is your active, select is another active, right bumper is consumable, left bumper is recall.
* For me this is the best set up, you can do everything while fighting, its not hard at all, everything is in your hand and you can do everything all at once if you wish, none of that stop moving crap because you have to move your finger off a key.
* Also - The only thing they need to add is sensitivity for turning then it will be good to go.

My only question is if Hi-Rez will incorporate some kind of account migration allowing players who have accounts on the PC version to transfer over their purchased skins, voice packs, ward skins, etc. Just for the players who may feel like playing it on the Xbox One and other situations like that.

I dont get what the problem everybody has about this, it doesn't affect the current players on pc and it just makes the game bigger and reaches out to alot more people. The only problem i can see about this is if the pc servers and the xbox servers are combined but I really doubt that would even happen.
