This was the last time we saw UNIT in that uniform and with that theme! It was the only time 11th Doctor encountered this style of UNIT. I really liked it, and was never a fan of the new UNIT we saw in the 11th Doctor's time.

Oh I wish the unit was a series of them own, they such badass like look at them. They fight aliens they work with the doctor and they know what they are doing (until recently)

The Doctor's body showing up in 2010 really means very little when you think about it. He's a time traveller. Even if he had died in 2010 that doesn't mean he's not going to show up potentially thousands of times in Earth's future.

I love the casual opposition to the military that permeates much of Who related media. Conflict escalation is always a bad idea and militaries are almost the definition of conflict escalation.
