Wildfires burn more than 27,000 acres in the Los Angeles area

Firefighters are battling to control a series of major fires in the Los Angeles area that have killed five people, ravaged communities from the Pacific Coast to Pasadena and sent thousands of people frantically fleeing their homes.

Many of my friends and I live in this area. My house is fortunate enough to still be standing, but almost all of my classmates lost their houses. I received multiple calls from them, and they were sobbing, crying, and screaming. I’m praying for everyone who has been affected by this fire. It’s horrible

But the US spends trillions of dollars on 800 military bases and bombs and bombing around the world, but we haven't figured out how to put out a fire in the 21st century.

That's what, unfortunately, happened in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. a few years ago.

Insurance company cancelled fire insurance policies prior to the fire ., they need to be held accountable for their actions.

I live on the opposite side of the US. Since I was a kid I’ve been hearing “there’s gonna be a fire that will burn from beach to beach in Cali” in passing. No safeguards were put in place? All those tax dollars & nothing was put in place to avoid this kinda thing?

And they want to charge millions of dollars for 3BR houses . Why did most resources go to rich neighborhoods before single family neighborhoods ? When will they learn

My heart is breaking for all of California! I am from Florida and I live with the devastations of hurricanes. I have never witnessed this kind of “wildfire” in my life. I have friends and family in California. I am praying nonstop for everyone. That God will bring the rain and the Assistance California needs.!!!

Here's some good Vegas advice. Good luck on getting help from FEMA. You citizens will have to come together to make it happen. Be strong and help each other with kindness and respect. Love is the answer.
