Just added to my toolkit. Hopefully it works when needed. Funny thing is the valve core removal tool that I found a little blurb somewhere. I need to remove one soon for cleaning and curious to see how well it works.

I used mine today for the very first time. Was actually quite surprised as it worked really, really well. Had a hole very close to the bead (not a pinch flat) and it worked exactly as it should. Was really quite impressed.

I have had mixed results with these. My first puncture was fixed immediately, however for the second puncture both tips broke instead of being able to pierce through the tyre.

How permanent of a fix is this? Would you recommend further repairs to the tire when I'm back home or can I just continue using the tire regularly after the usage of a DART?

Just used my dart tool for the 1st time. Dart would not go through the the end I’ve wasted both darts. Both

Just tried this and the white arrow head went in, but the cloth material didn't even remotely go into the tire. I had to take a blunt hex screwdriver and work the plug into the tire, but it's not exactly seated evenly. This was a total fail and I pushed straight down. My question is: now that I've spent $45 on this mechanism, can I actually trust the material to hold? Or should I have spent that $45 on a new tire ... really annoyed. And this is apparently EXTREMELY common.

Does these darts work/perform as well when using other brands of tyre-sealants? I’m currently using Muc-Offs…

First I’d like to ask, why did my darts fabric look differently cut. Secondly, both my darts failed me trying to plug a hole. The tip fell into the tire and the fabric just fell off. If it wasnt for my back up plugs I would have been stuck 10 miles out. Any idea why the fabric likes to fall off?

I have a road bicycle using 700cx25 hutchinson tubeless tires with stans sealant installed. Yesterday I had a puncture flat, the cut was right in the center of the tire contact patch, appeared to be a few mm in length but I could not see through it when I pinched it. When I shot in a co2 cartridge, it all immediately shot out of the cut within 15 seconds, so it was clearly a sizeable cut.

I took out my stans dart tool and pushed one into the cut. The white tip went through the cut but the black plug stayed on the outside/top of the tire and fell off when I pulled the tool out. Of course, I flipped the tool around and installed the second dart, and again, the exact same thing happened, the white plastic went into the tire while the black plug just fell off the tool. I wound up having to ride home 2 miles on the flat as a result.

What could I have done differently for your tool to be effective in this case?

Very cool product, can't wait to try it. Side question: how does co2 affect your sealant? Was unaware you should replace with normal air after the ride.

Hi, does the dart tool work specifically with Stan's tubeless sealant? Used my dart tool today and it didn't seal the deal. I was on a different brand of sealant btw.

Just used it on a 40c file tread tire.. went alll the way in with nothing sticking out. Makes me think it didn’t do anything?

This is amazing. Does it ONLY work with Stan's sealant? I think my shop used Orange in mine currently.

like everyone else I had tiny stubborn hole that. stans wouldn't fully seal after soo long but 21lbs would hold fine. decided ok time to patch watched video ok cool first dart lost in tire after I tired pushing it in failed to stay whoops 2nd slide up shaft tires aren't cheap. I'm hoping this will hold and stay for few months

Are the little white barb fittings intended to stay inside the tire after the dart is inserted?

I had high hopes considering this item cost half the price of a new tire. Had a small puncture about the size of a BB that’s too big to seal with sealant alone. Long story short BOTH plugs ripped on insertion and didn’t stick in the hole. I had to find a makeshift plunger to get the remaining scraps of plug and jam what I could into the hole… should have just bought a new tire 🤦🏻

Very disappointed!
First attempt using this product had a cut in my tire that Stan’s would not seal, tried using the dart, the plastic head went inside of the tire leaving the cloth material still on the tool and NOT in the cut on my tire! Epic fail!

Very Nice solution, But the Price guys! You Gotta lower the cost on the tool and on the refills! The tool is almost the cost of new tire, come on!
