Anti-monarchy protesters along King Charles's procession route booed the king as he passed. Demonstrators could be heard chanting 'not my king' and 'down with the crown' as his carriage passed.

In the old days, the king used to ride pass the commoners handing out loafs of bread and rice.
Now they ride pass and demand your tax dollars during a crisis of living. What a compassionate and extremely wealthy institution.. almost brings a tear to the eye...😢 But i cant afford to cry as my water bills are going up

I went to this "coronation" / "not my king" event. The atmosphere was clearly not celebratory. It was grim. The King seems like a complete failure.

I've been a Guardian reader/subscriber for 20 years. I stopped all that last year, following ifo in the Eye about obscene payments to sacked senior staff, and the increasing plague of misandric articles - hating men has become an art form for columnists with little useful to say on anything. I nail my colours to the mast as a monarchist, and a fan of Charles (and also ex HMS Minerva). A all my comment to "Comment is Free" (but only if you toe the party line) get deleted I'm expressing myself here.

Why did the Guardian suppress the story of the Tim Ballard and his team who rescued over 6 thousand children from child trafficking when many of these children were destined for very wealthy men.
Why also did the Guardian article mock Mr Ballard despite the amazing humanitarian work he has done?
