The Primary Purpose of Van Til's book, The Defense of the Faith

Van Til's primary purpose in writing The Defense of the Faith was to set forth in positive fashion what seemed to him to be the biblical method of defending the faith. This necessitated making a comparison between Romanist/Evangelical approaches and a Reformed approach to apologetics.
