Bees were likely there for the fresh water and/or sugar on the food, which is why they were all in the sink. The island looks quite dry, as well....or no well, as it were.

Your photography has really evolved beautifully. Framing, perspective, etc all soooo sweet. Love that you just were 1 with the bees, peaceful coexistence which is currently solely lacking world wide. You are really scratching my itch!!

The best way to get rid of bees and other insects is to burn Greek coffee. Just put a little in a dish and light it up. It will smoke them out, without irritating you. I live on a Greek island and learned this trick from my neighbors. It works!!!

Bees! I keep several hundred thousand, they are gentle enough when it is not their home, they won't bother you. They die when they sting, so they only do it as a last resort. Put an inch of small pebbles in a tray, fill with water and they will drink that in preference to anything else. Put it on the bow and they will *probably* leave the cabin alone.
