Easiest way to remove the rear seat backs from a Volvo C30. All you need is a ratchet strap and make sure the bolts have been removed from the bottom outer corners. Hooking the ratchet strap to the top metal door hinge and the seat frame to get them to effortlessly pop out

Good video and I want to share some inputs.

1. Removing the seat:
The seat you sitt on gets removed by first grabbing the seat between both belt buckle holders (in the middle) and pulling uppwards to ceiling enough to unlock it. The second part is to unlock the 2 front locks that is almost purpendicular to the belt buckle holders. If you bend the back part upp too much the 2 front locks may seize a little. The 2 front locks may need some brute force and pull them, one at a time with a pulling.

2. The plastic cover and locking bolt:
The hole can be covered by a plastic cover that you rotate anti clockwise to unlock. 10mm Bolt that secures the seat so remove it first. Pulling the seat takes some leverage but knocking it back needs a solid knock but not as much as the pull does. This removal video is spot on, just misses the cover and Bolt removal.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi. The removal process is clear for me. But how to reinstall the backrest? It looks like I will have to use a lot of power.

It's not in my video but a little plastic cover needs to be removed from the bottom corner of the seat back and then a bolt needs to be removed as well. Then do my strap removal like in the video

Denis Feret if you did it JUST like this then it should easily come out. Once it pops free it just pivots out.
