37:41 i think the thing you fail to realize is that he is saying that he got banned after the Magnus game for no reason, just based on preconceptions, thats what hurts him not the bans he received when he was younger, and you saying that it’s justified because he did cheat when he was young is the exact reason he is angry, because he served his time and never cheated again and yet people still cant move on. it’s like saying you were speeding on the highway a month ago and you get a new ticket for it when you got pulled over while not even speeding

proctors are good because they protect the players from accusations. they are witness to what is happening and can vouch that everything was above board.

One thing is clear to me: you should never accuse anyone of cheating without proof, because it does have a huge impact on that person. This applies to Kramnik for online cheating, but also to Magnus for OTB cheating. It doesn't matter if Hans cheated online or not, online and OTB are two different worlds, run by different organizations. There was never any proof that he cheated OTB and suggesting this as Magnus did was absolutely unacceptable and the entire chess community should have spoken out against it.

Hikaru added a lot of fuel to the rumors that eventually destroyed Han’s reputation..to see Hikaru giggling throughout this stream is pretty upsetting.
Han’s admitted to cheating as a child and considers it the biggest mistake of his life. It’s time to move on.

Happy to see Hans hard work pay off and eager to see more games from him.
