Covid-19 cases have fallen for the sixth consecutive day. A further 24,950 people have tested positive in the last 24-hour reporting period, down 14% from Sunday's figure.

The Euro 2020 football tournament is being posited as one of the reasons England might have seen a surge in coronavirus cases in July. With the Euros over and schools shut, cases have been falling.
