Removing Back Seat | Removing Third Row Seat | 1999 - 2004 Honda Odyssey | Second Generation. I needed to use an allen wrench to remove the back seat. I used a breaker, also. Allen #14. You will need a impact hex socket M 14. Note it can also be a 12 inhex socket.

My drivers side sliding door would not open from either the key fob or the dash control unit. I had to replace the Honda Part No.: 74380-S0X-A01
Cable, Slide Door Stopper Sensor (Fuel Lid Switch) on my 2001 Honda Odyssey LX to correct this problem.
I had to remove the left side interior panel to replace the above part and to do so I had to remove the left hinge from the 3rd row seat.
FYI the tool needed for this is a 12MM allen hex key. My friend had a 1/2" drive 12MM hex socket that he let me borrow to complete the job.

I stumbled upon this same configuration. Another tip, if you increase the angle of the bottom and top seat, you can flip it back like you were going to stow it. But, it will be still open which will give you a full rear facing seat to sit in the back facing out. Hope that makes sense. In other words, flip the seat back without folding the top down first like you normally would.

I got the rear 3rd. row seat out of my Caravan easily but I can't get the other ones out. I guess I'll do a youtube search. Seems like you can find out how to do everything on here.

Hi! I have the same van - a 2002 Odyssey. I just wanted to ask if you had to remove any side panels of the van to get that whole back seat out? Someone has a video of a 2006 Odyssey and he had to remove the plastic side panels but I'm hoping you don't in the 2002. Asking since you don't show the whole removal. Thanks!

Should have check specs before ordering part. It is a 12 mm for my 2002 odyssey. Not 14.

I can't get the side info for the hex bit from this video. Actually all you have to do is press a piece of paper firmly onto the hex hole, and obtain its outline, then measure it to determine the size. for 2003 Odyssey, it's a 12mm bit, or M12 bit.

I took the 4 bolts from underneath the seat itself and left the hinge pieces in place. Now I can't find the bolts that went under the seat. Can someone please let me know what size/type bolts it uses? (I tried the junkyard but no vans of the right style were there).
