Such a beautiful and special version of Caruso. When Pavarotti sung this it was so so powerful and his voice bellowed in true Italian opera style - but Josh Groban has so much vocal range I personally find the softness in this rendition to be perfection.

Thank God every now and then there's somebody who understands this beautiful song. This is not a piece for a technique showoff or to flat blow away the socks from your audience. This is a moment to remember all the emotion and the pain you felt in your life and sing your heart out with it, it's a gentle melancholic lament like the waves crashing on the gulf at dusk; I'm not saying you cannot put volume in it, just that it cannot be for the sake of it, there has to be a deep purpose behind it. This man understands and gives a beautiful rendition, very different from the original vocally, but close in spirit. Bravo Josh!
