I bought this model based on recommendations of atk. My food never cooked . Had to replace with a $30 one from Walmart. Kitchen Aid was not worth the money I paid .

Kitchen Aid is a HUGE slow cooker. Great for a family, but not for couples or singles ... I just got rid of mine ...

If you're slow cooking ( low heat when you leave in the morning and using liquid)say pot roast, corned beef or whole chicken hot spots don't really matter

I’m thinking of passing on the slow cooker and replace w an instant pot. Not sure energy wise it’s the better option but like the idea of a pressure cooker but w multi functions

Won't that release so much cocktail of invisible vapor? I would rather it safer for health.
