Back in 2010, a local Rochester, NY collector walked into a local comic shop (Empire Comics) and made history. Amongst the books he brought into the shop was a copy of Detective Comics #27 that when it went to auction later that year, became the first comic book to break the 1 million dollar sale barrier. This comic, along with approximately 150 others became known as the "Pinnacle Hill Collection".

Little did everyone know, the owner of those books held back a stash of early Archie (MLJ) super hero golden age books. Those books sat in boxes for over a decade until they resurfaced recently as a local comic shop. This is the story of the second portion of that Pinnacle Hill collection and the shop owner who brought it to market...

As a long time collector (Notice I never said "Old") It's a joy to see two guys talking about one of the best collections to come to light in years! Mike, keep making these videos for us longtime collectors (Notice I never said...oh, I used that routine already didn't I?) This matters, books like this matter. Love the split screen too and I appreciate the effort on making this video. Plus, two great individuals who know there stuff. Thank you! Love the "Robert Bell" bag story on here as well. I was offered Action Comics #1 at a Phil Seuling show in NYC in April of 1973 at the age of 12 1/2 years old. The book, if I recall, was beaten up so bad it would grade a .5 by today's standards. I had $20 on me along with my father who laughed at the dealer! Probably $100 was an accurate price for that condition.

A delightful video to watch, pure comic book history right there and the Rhino owner seems to be such a genuine guy, cant wait for the auction hopefully you guys will do a follow up results video as well to sum up with views on final sales.
