liquid death is actually a really great company that I've been a big fan of for a while now! They actually changed their water source during 2023 for north america, they now source all north america cans from virginia i believe and european markets still source from the alps.

In general though i love liquid death as a brand because of their brand ethos, they started out with releasing in the fairly niche market of concert venues by releasing non-alcoholic water based beverages that were just as edgy with packaging aesthetic as alcoholic beverages for sober people or people that just don't want to drink to enjoy the concert-goer vibe without a plastic water bottle in hand. They're also big advocates for independent artists and do a lot of collabs with indie artists for merch/packaging art, and in general have pretty hilarious marketing campaigns. Their drinks are delicious too, highly recommend trying them out if you're ever interested!! I was bummed that the elf collab sold out so quickly, I'd planned to buy it myself but didnt get a chance.

I am super excited for the Wicked eye shadow palette. I am a big fan of the musical, and have seen it numerous times. I also think it's cool that Patrick Starr collaborated with makeup artists who actually worked on the Broadway show to come up with the colors (according to his video about the release). 💚

Danessa Myricks’ colorfix mattes are so good. Super easy to build to an opaque colour and they don’t budge or crease (even with her colorfix gloss on top, surprisingly). I love them for a one-colour bold look days. They’ve been upstaged by About Face and Half Magic liquid eyeshadows, not only because they don’t have a doe foot applicator but because many colours she came out with required some mixing to get some more trendy shades - it made it more artistry driven. I’m glad she’s coming out with more appealing colours, because these deserve more attention.

What I took away from the Fenty highlighter was that the base color is supposed to be close to your skin tone. Usually brands only put out an icy champagne, gold, rose/pink, and a bronze and those look seamless on some skin tones but not all. For example, I think so many people like CT Spotlight because the base pigment is close to their skin tone making it look seamless on their face, whereas on someone like me it looks like an icy stripe. Idk if that makes any sense 😂

Danessa Myrick's Colorfix is my favorite makeup item in my collection. You need the tiniest drop and I use your Singe brush 01 to lay down a thin layer and then 03 to blend out the edges. Lots of pigment and lasts all day. Have fun on your trip!
