Biggest piece of advice: Stay humble.

Nobody wants to hire arrogant and entitled MBAs. Go into industries with the understanding that you know a lot less than you think you do. Street smarts, agility and courage outweigh a data model every day of the week in business.

I like how most people in the comments section, realize that they could never make it to an institution like HBS and so deem it necessary to assume that those that made it come from a place of privilege. And that is poor, because not only are you being self-destructive but also being the source of demotivation to someone who aspires to make it to HBS but reads an array of such comments and chooses to believe it. Not to say that there aren't those that make it there because of external factors and not necessarily because they've got what it takes, but I bet that makes 5-10% of the batch else the exit options wouldn't be this lucrative. So for those of you who aspire to make it there and aren't from a place of privilege, you very well can! (The odds are stacked against you, but who cares?)
