Saw John Squire walking through Chorlton a while ago pushing a pram presumably his grandchild and all the trendy young students didn't have a fucking clue who he was!! Really like the levels here on this version; backing vocals clearer, lead vocals even are clearer, guitar cleaner. Sometimes you don’t need to keep polishing diamonds.

I think the guy in green with the big thing on his head is Don Letts. He was a dj supporting the Clash in the 70s. When they split, he went on to form Big Audio Dynamite with Mick Jones.

The Stone Roses had most of their material for their debut album years before they got a deal. Even ‘Adored’ was played and performed in 86. So why couldn’t they make more music? Even when they got back together for five years, they could only churn out two average tunes.
