This is a welcome development and paradigm shift in the way Engineers work and share information. At last, the 'Engineer Black Box' is open. There is absolutely nothing un-ethical for an engineer to publish what one has achieved and or is capable of doing. As Engineers, we must remove the 'colonial' cobwebs of fear to talk about ourselves. in the US and elsewhere engineers talk freely about what they do. When it comes to Kenya, we recede to our 'professional cocoons' and create fear to young engineers - telling them it is a taboo to publicize about yourself and works. This has finally come to an end with the launch of this platform. Relevant clauses in our constitutions (IEK & EBK) require amendments to reflect the new dynamics.
