Thanks for using my drawing of RHNS Aegeon from Wesworld forum. Actually was a direct copy of RHNS Vasilissa Olga, as an AU with 8 ships of that class. One of my first computer drawings!

I really wish she had survived, it would be amazing to see her standing next to Averof and Velos. Probably the mightest ships the Greek navy had during the war and I really wish they were part of the low-mid tear of the panEuropean fleet in WoWs

Really good looking destroyer, reminds me a lot of the Fletcher class.

The Polish Navy too had a couple of destroyers that fought with the Royal Navy after their surrender. Specifically the 'Grom' class, I believe they were quite large as destroyers go and quite fast with decent armament. If memory serves from the small snippet I read about them they were used in convoy escort duty in the Atlantic and may have played a small role in the chase of Bismarck? That could be an interesting video.
Also some other suggestions for videos HMS Lion and HMS Tiger from World War I, as well as any British cruisers from World War II, County class, Town class, Crown Colony class, Dido class...you get the picture. As a side note HMS Jamaica of the crown colony class would be an interesting story, served right through World War II and even shot down a MiG-15 jet fighter in the Korean war with anti-aircraft fire.

Nice. This is one class I hadn't heard of. It sounds like she did what she could in joining the Allies and fighting until she was sunk. In looking the class up, her sistership also had a fighting career but, unfortunately, it was for the Germans. She was first sunk after the floating drydock she was was in was either sunk by German aircraft or scuttled by the Greeks to prevent capture. She was then raised and sent out to perform many of the same roles of her sister, but for the Germans. She became a constructive total loss after attacks by Allied aircraft only a month after the sinking of her sister by the Germans. A lot of tit of tat with this small class.

Surely the USS. Johnston deserves a special?

A ship class suggestion; Beograd class destroyers of the Yugoslav Royal Navy, and the destroyer Dubrovnik.

Thanks for another great video!
Although I could wish for a little more engine data and details, I'm impressed with the degree of details.

(Q & A), Hey there Drachs! After looking back on your Agincourt special, i was reminded of the old Brazilian battleship São Paulo. If you’re familiar with that ship’s last voyage, what do you think happened to her and the 14 (if I remember rightly) men who were aboard?

Nice account though the image of the surrendered Italian fleet at 4.05 truly belongs with the narrative account at 5.20.

I'm kind of excited to see you eventually do more ironclads like the USS Roanoke.

You should do an episode on mini-subs like the X-craft which damaged the Tirpitz, also cover the Italian Maiale, their Royal Navy counter-parts, German and Japanese mini-subs. You could later do individual episodes on each type or class.

The Italians had so few successes during the war. The Maiale was definitely one of them. The way the Italians operated their craft against Gibraltar from a partially sunken freighter is like something out of a Bond movie.

Q&A
Question: if the RN had built the G3 and N3 ships how would this have affected naval design for other navies? could we have seen improved SoDAK(1920's)'s with 18 inch guns firing super heavy shells?

the ship class had German armament because of lack of founding, Britain wanted only hard currency for arms sales, Germany was flexible and accepted also payment of goods via clearing method. A lot of German weapons and equipment was bought from Greece during 1936-1940 due to this method. the German guns for the class was installed in Greece due to Germans refused to send them to Yarrow shipyard for installing them, because they didn't wanted Britain to study their latest naval guns, so instead they were transferred to naval base Salamis and installed there by the Royal Greek Navy.

So the Greek navy fought after the country's surrender? Bad ass.
If only the French navy did the same...
