As a installer the solar edge has had alot more problems. As an electrician its alot more expensive to install solar edge as well . Emphase can be wired like home wiring while solar edge has the be in metal from roof to inverter

I keep reading and hearing from many sources in the US as well as Australia that SolarEdge inverters are highly failure prone as compared to Enphase. My SolarEdge system will be installed soon and I am wondering now if I made the right decision going with SolarEdge.

Unfortunately solar edge is laying off 400 people and is in financial trouble due to over production and a major customer declared chapter 7 bankruptcy

Had SolarEdge inverter installed in 2017. No warranty to speak of. Installers said unit is obsolete and it's $700 for a new one. For the original price I find this completely unacceptable, and I'm not alone. SolarEdge owes their customers new units or a class action is forthcoming.

Even the Enphase IQ8 line does not have enough continuous output to handle today's higher wattage modules. The tech has not kept up and they clip terribly. Forget 480 or 500 watt panels. You just clip power.

Solar Edge is much more dangerous for home owners

Solar edge is crap. Two failed inverters in less than two years. Stuck with it because it was installed by Tesla.

Micros never last.They can't take the roof heat. M150 M190 all failed the IQ line hasn't been out long. We shall see but rarely see monitoring that doesn't have some micros out. Anybody who's been around solar for any long of time knows they don't last. Also how hard you have to fight for warranty claims.
