Oh, awesome!!! I'm in the process of gathering materials to build something of the same concept, but I'm a major cheapskate. I had the idea many months ago and have iterated the design in my head and then modelled it in SketchUp. It's going to be made of timber, plywood and lorry canvas with 50mm PIR insulation all glued and screwed, including detachable telescopic wooden legs using fence posts, scaffold boards and boat winches. It's to go on my Iveco Daily which has a dropside body with a 3800x2150mm load space, it's designed to stand no higher than the existing highest point of the van on the move but pop up tall enough for me (6'2") to stand up inside without touching the ceiling with the roof hinged at one end and the opposite wall where the door is folding in half for transport, and it will leave 800mm of load space available behind it and also has an externally accessible storage area below the double bed. And if things go right during the build, the entire end wall will be able to open up.
Mine isn't designed to be posh, nor particularly good at any one thing, but instead to be relatively low cost (~£1500 GBP materials cost for the unfurnished shell) and very versatile.
I stumbled upon your video and I'm pretty sure it's the first one I've seen so far of a custom build of the same basic concept.

Absolutely lovely build, I watched this video several times and will be sending it to a friend and checking out some more!

Are you able to use the habitat box when it’s off the rig?

Given that this vid is rather dated, now, I am not sure I will get a reply but:

The lifts u use to raise and lower the entire unit up and off the back of the truck, what are they actually called? As with all things, terminology rules when searching for very specific things. And, if possible, could u link me the website/company u got them from, so I may take a nose through what they have to better help me finalize my ideas.

My thaks in advance and ... damn, Dude, good job, man.
