08-30-20: I made two today and both came out so nice. Talk about easy peasy, several can be whipped out in no time flat. I made the first one according to your measurements, but the second one I adjusted it to make it wider so that I can fit my phone in it and I also used a multicolored suede material. Man, this project is off-the-chain fabulous...TFS. I love it!

May I ask what are those white things you put inside the fabric? Is it cardboard or fusible lining?

I am going to have to learn how to sew my own cloth purses and cloth wallets. I am a huge fan of the Vera Bradley purses but simply can not afford to have as many different patterns as I would love to have.
One of these days I will learn how to sew up the cutest styles, because with different fabric choices it is just so much fun to accessorize. Plus, nothing and I mean nothing, can be better than these lightweight fabric purses because you can still pack them with all kinds of things and they are still light, much lighter on the shoulders.
I just compared my larger Vera Bradley purse today with a newly purchased fake leather one, I think my stuffed Vera Bradley purse is lighter when filled then the other fake leather purse is even though it is empty. That really made me realize what a weight difference it is.
When you learn how to sew them, omg, so many cute fabric patterns out there.

Great Video, really works, I have made a few. I backed my material with Iron On Facing.
Don’t know what the white pieces used were. I though card but I doubt it,
Think spoken Instructions would be better or a least details of materials used.
