I have a very low income, but I have managed to store water enough for my family for 2 weeks and food for 3 months. It's not too late and you can do it on a budget, friends. Start now!

I’m a single female prepper in Arkansas, and I felt very prepared for the snow from the hours of your videos I have viewed. My next step is to set up raised bed gardens and a rain catchment system. I like your practical solutions and non militaristic tone. Single women can be preppers, too, and we have to be self reliant.

If this and Helene didn't convince ya'll, nothing will.
You're doing good work. Take Care.

I appreciate your communication style by approaching prepping realistically instead of by 'scare tactic' . Thank you for doing what you do.

My mother and myself are going to learning to grow vegetables. Your site is so useful. The vegetables at the store aren't good tasting or last in the fridge. They spoil quickly.
My mom is 91 and I am 60 and disabled. It gave me great advice. I am losing weight and walking. So my stamina improves.

This isn’t over yet. The wind just started again about 30 min ago here (Eastern Ventura County, CA) and the windstorm will stick around until Wednesday. It’s only a matter of time before another fire starts nearby. It’s dryer here than I ever remember it being before.

I’m charging my devices & power banks, putting all my valuables, important documents, sentimental items, and essentials by my front door. It’s only a matter of time before we lose power again (we didn’t have power from 1am Tuesday - 1pm Thursday) or have to evacuate due to another fire.

My entire neighborhood could have been lost a few years ago during Woolsey, and I was not prepared to evacuate. We fled with nothing but the clothes on our back, and I refuse to ever feel that helpless again.

I live in north Idaho. Fires are my biggest danger. I have sent quite a few dollars setting up my property to be able to protect my home and shops from fire. I put in 5000 gallon tanks to hold water. Gas pumps hooked into sprinklers surrounding my building. A portable fire fighting setup to move around my property and neighbors to help stop it earlier. I am working with my neighbor, as he is doing the same thing, so we both can use each other water and equipment as needed in case one of us is not there.

Good to see you Kris. I was starting to become concerned for you and your family. I hope you're all able to stay safe and your homes intact. This is so heartbreaking to see, and I can't imagine going through it. My thoughts are with you all there in California. Thank you for your logical, thorough, and fact-based explanation of what is occurring.

Single mom of 3 and I’ve been prepping for some time now. Small things add up. I started my garden last year and this year will try and double my harvest. Just started my bug out bags. So happy I found your channel.

I have seen some very cruel tweets about the California fires, look, no matter who you voted for or support, there are times even being prepared cannot always save you, , , let, s have sympathy for those who lost everything, , , I know how I would feel if it were me, , , ❤❤

This is by far the best explanation of the LA fires that I have read. Well done. Please post it on all sites that are blaming this that and the other.

I always thought the concept of city prepping is silly, but this is a perfect example of while the city may not be sustainable In a grid down scenario, you still need to prep for other disasters.

I grew up in Florida and started helping my mother with hurricane prep in May of 1960. Your channel has helped move me toward having preparedness be a daily lifestyle, not a once a year or seasonal event.

I keep a backpack and two duffel bags ready to go at all times. Along with a four-wheel garden cart in case I have to walk.

Your clear and calm demeanor is appreciated. I’ll admit that I am afraid. Not for me. Life has thrown me a few curveballs. I’ve survived them all. I was raised by a cadre of strong, resilient women. Most of them survived and even thrived in the Great Depression. But we’ve done a poor job of nurturing that resilience in next generations. I fear that many will suffer greatly because of it. 💔

Thank you for providing the actual, unemotional facts about how the severity of the California fire could NOT be quenched by the physical infrastructure! I’m so tired of half-facts and blame in outlining crises; you never fail to do the research that inspires me to my own investigation. Thanks, Kris. Hope you and your family keep safe out west there.

Thanks for another insightful video. I’ve taught my sons and my granddaughter 3 Rules to live by: #1 Always Be Safe, #2 Always Be Prepared, and #3 Always Be Respectful.
