*I came here to see if this guy was worth seeing at a local tavern this weekend. Thanks for posting this. This made my decision really easy.*

I've watched as many performances of "Brother's Blood" as I could find on Youtube with the hope that I'd find one I connected with enough to make me feel even half of the emotions that I felt seeing it performed live. This performance shattered me like a mirror and I think that's the closest I'll ever get. Suffice to say, search over.

i saw him a week ago in munich and this song was also so intense and meaningful. The whole audience was perfectly silent and i started crying. Love this guy, he's so nice and gentle. I believe that more people deserve to know him.

I have never heard a Kevin Devine song before. I think this is the best introduction I could have gotten. I have never heard this level of emotion in anything before. Wow.

You can see him essentially get so entangled in the raw emotion and reverie of his own song and then it’s almost as if he snaps out of abstraction @4:44 and remembers he’s in a tent playing for people. It’s a subtle and beautiful moment but one I am glad the crew caught it on camera. It was a genuine “oh shit, I forgot I’m playing for all of these people”

Kevin fulfilled my dreams when he finished his show opener for the Front Bottoms in Minneapolis with this song. The passion is so strong with this song and gets me in the feels every time. Kevin thank you for your music and being an awesome guy. Thanks for hanging out after the show and taking photos.
