How to disable Google Lens and restore Google Images search in Chrome

Previously Google Lens was updated to let you search in Chrome’s Side panel. If you prefer to search Google for images, you are able (for now) to restore the classic search option by using an experimental flag.

Keep an eye out for fresh content uploaded regularly.

I absolutely HATE the useless lens feature on the chrome. It NEVER search up anything good, especially when I need to look for another bigger or smaller resolution of some pictures. THANK YOU VERY

HOLY CRAP it worked. I've been annoyed with Len's and wanted the old system back for months. I just now had enough with Google lens and took the time to look up this question. This video is what i found, and it worked beautifully. Thank you so much.

I'm living in France and Google changed today (01st/12/2022) on my computer and you can't find (even if all the search is in english language) to key words "enable lens standalone". There's only "NTP Desktop Lens Entrypoint", "Enable improvements to the Lens instruction chip" and "Enable the Lens Region Search on PDF viewer". Impossible for me to change the settings.

Today is Sep 17th... I don't have that flag in my list. I wonder if they've changed it already.

They took this flag out as of Dec-2022. Looks like we're stuck with the useless lens. Need to find an alternative plugin/extension.

I just changed mine too. Like everyone else, it was driving me nuts and seemingly was it just me? Seeing all the other comments around the web, it isn't just me, so why do they still use it? Sometimes it seems companies - or probably the department who came us with this loser of an idea- can't admit a failure. Thanks so much for the vid!

Thanks. How to do this in Firefox? Every time I try to drag an image into PureRef, that stupid dialog comes up instead, and blocks me from what I am doing. It seems to specialize popping up when it is least relevant.

brother please help, now we want the google lens, i always use it to image search And to auto translate japanese text from online manga. however now they updated it and its like very very very bad, it doesnt search images (always comes as results not found) and the translation is like a snap of a still of the image, not like uploads the full image to translate, its horrible.
please is there a way to un-uprage lens? or use older version? i messed with the flags, then reset everything to no avail!
