This is so true. I worked out like, an hour every day for 5 days a week and slowly changed my eating and before I knew it, one year and 4 months later, I’m down 60 pounds, have a completely different lifestyle with workouts and food, and look and feel like a totally different person inside and out. One day you look in the mirror and it feels like nothing has changed, then it all hits you.

this is 100% true. it took me over a year of consistency to see results, and ANOTHER year to see the results I wanted to see. it takes so much discipline to keep working out but it's worth it in the end.

I needed this.
It's hard dieting and exercising everyday without noticing results.. Makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong, if I'm missing something, if I'm just wasting money and time.
But a year from now I will thank myself, I cannot let myself down.

I needed to hear this. Thank you so much!! I've been feeling so burnt out working out everyday but this reminds me to just make sure I make it and not worry about whether I'm hitting it hard enough.

I just wanna say that fitness has really helped me as a person, even though i only do about 20-40 minutes of working out a day, i have way more energy than i used to. I can enjoy my favorite hobbies like gaming and still feel like I've done something today. You're such an inspiration 💖

I love this! I started working out consistently on September 6th, 2022 and I just couldn't see a change until one day I realized my clothes didn't fit at all. They were WAY too big. Bam! It's working!

Please, people, don't give up if you cannot be consistent. Don't let yourself get discouraged. You can find your way. You can get improvements. It's okay if you do a different sport every few weeks, if you have to rest because of your health now and then, if your workout doesn't look anything like what was planned. There is so much joy out there. Forcing yourself to go by plan isn't the only way.

This is true. But what is also true is that "fit body" is NOT the only thing exercising does for us, not should it be the only goal. You don't see the results in the mirror, but you instantly feel them inside, your feel more energized, you feel better about yourself, you feel stronger, even just a little bit, you feel good because you dedicated time to move and be healthier. It shouldn't be just about "being in shape".

I'm going through it now. I just started working out again after stopping for a few months, and the changes are almost slim to nothing. Even though other people barely notice the weight gain, I knew I'm putting on weight. I'm still trying to stay positive and keep on working out while watching what I eat. Good luck to myself and others too, we can make it!

I would avoid taking pictures when I was bigger... but had to take a class picture for work when I graduated the 6 month intensive training class...8 years later I had a trainee who was going through the course...she said she was going to go back to class and find my class picture and send it to me. I was both horrified/embarrassed and proud when she texted me the pic...after I finally recognized myself. 70+ lbs down...and 8 years later...I look much younger and anyone I show the pic to can't believe it. Started my journey 6 years ago... there's been ups and downs... but I kept at it. That pic inspired me to push even harder to get to the athlete inside me...I will be 45 in a couple weeks and am getting back to the physique I had 20 years ago at 25... minus some wear and tear from having an 8.5 lb. baby. That baby is 14 now and a black belt and on her high school track team...I wanted to be able to keep up. Training to do a 5K with her in a few months...wouldn't have thought it possible 10 years ago when I was in the depth of depression and a bunch of autoimmune issues brought on by an abusive marriage and an even more brutal divorce. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...and growth happens through discomfort. I was always under there... glad the real me is shining through again, stronger and wiser than ever...and it happened one day at a time. ❤

Couldn't put it any better. Consistency is the key 🗝️

The key is the motivation. When you go to the gym to impress somebody with your new look, you can easily give up after a month of training. As for me, I was tired of feeling weak. My back hurt after having two children. But I decided that I doesn’t want to be a grandma in my 30-s. So I began to workout at home 3 times a day. After a year I felt that I actually have muscles, I liked the way I looked. The size didn’t chanced (it wasn’t my goal) but the shape changes nicely)
Sport is not only the way to meet the standards. This is a necessity for us, for our bodies to be young and strong for a longer time of our lives.

This is something I “thought” I understood for so long, through all of my workouts where I was pushing myself so much to the point I gave up. I only recently actually brought it to life by going on small runs everyday and eating foods which I love but are also nutritious. I’ve been doing this with ease for the past 4 months and I’ve become the happiest and healthiest version of myself, seeing results constantly, but not making that my finishing point.

When people ask for the “secret” to weight lose or muscle gain I always tell them there is no secret. You just have to practice self discipline with a diet and routine that work best for your body and your needs and don’t give up.

Sigh, this is my life now. I've recently started working out but a few weeks into it, I don't see much result. I'm 80kg and just getting back into looking after myself after I had two babies in two years. Thank you for this very important reminder. May we all be consistent🙏

This is so encouraging I feel like if I don’t work out for an hour I will see no progress but some days my life is so busy and hectic I don’t have that time so I just give up and I don’t see progress. This is so much more sustainable

I agree with this man. Consistency is to motivate yourself to keep exercising. I have been working out at the gym for years, and at first, I don’t see any result. Even weeks in, I still don’t see results. But I kept going, and years later, I noticed massive difference. Even if you don’t go to the gym, exercising is good for your health and peace of mind. But most people lose the motivation when they are tired, they remind themselves and promised they will go tomorrow and tomorrow come, another false promise…and this habit drags on, and eventually your mind feels comfortable of the idea not going to the gym. Consistence, motivation, and the will to want to change all plays a big role.
