Mt Wilson Hike - 15.6 Miles! - Sierra Madre, CA

I decided to challenge myself with a very hard hike to the top of Mt Wilson in the Sierra Madre area.

7.5 miles to the top with an elevation gain of 4800 ft took me 2 hours and 55 mins to complete.

Overall hike was 15.6 miles roundtrip and took me 5 hours and 25 mins to complete.

A great hike and achievement.

the green parrots are from a pet store in alhambra that burned down years years years ago, someone let out the animals before they evacuated.so they just multiplied lol

Great job! This is one of the toughest hikes in Los Angeles. I'm hoping to do this . . . someday.

I’ve hiked up here with my Girl Scout Troop years ago. Typically we never went further than Orchard Campground. I’ve been to the top, via a car.

I hiked that trail like 10 times and it's really nice....and also chantry flats ...go try out the lelegragh pick over in mount baldy, that one it's really cool...

Great video, it brings back many memories. I've hiked that trail many times. I prefer hiking it in overcast weather, just like you experienced. You have a very strong pace though, I'm much slower.
