Intro to Maths Masters

Welcome to #MathsMasters

I am a primary teacher and Maths lead and will be running live maths lessons to help key stage 2 children become confident in mental and written addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

We will go right back to the beginning of the learning journey in the early years and year 1 to make sure we understand all the essential key skills and concepts which we will need to build on in years 3 to 6.

The sessions will run each week day @11.30am beginning with addition. Subscribe to Maths Masters. Tweet your work using hashtag #MathsMasters #MarvellousMathsMasters and I will show some of your approaches in the next session.

You will need place value counters or Base 10 which can be downloaded from the link. If you don’t have a printer, don’t worry, just make your own from paper or old cereal packets. Bring along a pencil and paper.

They’ll be no stress and worry. We will all become #MarvellousMathsMasters through hard work, determination and resilience. To become a master at anything we’ve got to keep trying - even when it gets tough.

Remember it’s not ‘I can’t do it’ it’s ‘I can’t do it yet!’
