Something that always struck me about that game was how long it took for the glass to collapse, ample time for them to essentially run and leap from tile to tile, channeling momentum all the way.

I would always choose middle so i can see whats going on and strategize first but not be too far in the back where i risk running out of time

There's actually a way to make this game a lot more fair. The first person jumps and does the 50/50. Whether they live or die, the next person passes them and does the next 50/50, repeat. This way everybody only has to do one 50/50 each rather than one person doing 50/50s until they die.

They show that they're allowed to pass each other and do things out of order. The number they're given only determines who jumps on the first platform next.

The chance of every person surviving is extremely low, but the chances of any individual person surviving doesn't need to be low.

For those who haven't watched the squid game the challenge, I highly recommend the show... It was really amazing . It's like another season of squid game.. some games were changed and were really suspnense . The mindgames and betrayal add flavor to the reality show. Plus the 4.56 million dollar prize

If i was told that id try to go with a slightly lated but still center number.

It could have been a game where the first one has an advantage or the last one has an advantage. By being center i have average odds.
