Was watching the Kilauea live cam from one side of the caldera while you were filming from the other. You had the better view.
Sunny and almost balmy today in Portland, but the mountains look like a coming travel nightmare. Thanks for keeping us posted while you're on vacay, you better bring back a tan....

Chilly and rather breezy in foothills over Eugene. The amount of water sitting on top of the ground is almost unbelievabl!! Even the mulch paths looks like its floating 😂😂 grass is soaked. I’m not complaining and neither is the water table after that dry summer the west coast had. My temp gauge is reading *47 and my wet finger says it’s at least 3mph wind with gusts around 6-8mph. Fcking. Wet. Everything 😂

Here in North Central WA we've had nothing but inversions with fog and low clouds trapping cold at the surface in the valleys for a few weeks. Sure would enjoy seeing some blue skies and sun.

Aloha! I hiked on the rugged trail to Kilauea back in the '90s as the dark descended. I stayed on the trail but I saw a hole by it. I threw a rock in it and I never heard it hit bottom. Scarry. You do know that because of the cooling of the lava over the water that a huge shelf was formed. That shelf can break off anytime. 😂
