Libyans celebrate national Couscous Day with 2,500kg dish

And finally Libyans across the country gathered in the city of Sabratah last Friday to celebrate national Couscous Day with a giant version of the country's staple food.
Measuring at four meters in diameter the dish weighed some 2-thousand-500 kilograms and contained the meat of five camels.
The making of the dish marked the third time Libya has held the day.
Made from semolina or corn wheat couscous is consumed across countries in North Africa and is usually combined with meat and vegetables.
