SCP 1471 is a free 9.8MB application for mobile devices named "MalO ver1.0.0" in online application stores. SCP-1471 has no listed developer and is somehow able to bypass the application approval process to go directly to distribution. SCP-1471 is also able to avoid removal by other program manager applications.

OMG I can't believe that out of all the SCPs, TheRubber and I picked the same one to release within a day of each other! I know they put theirs out first, but I've been working on this for two weeks and was 90% finished so I figured I would just put mine out too. Sorry to everyone who just saw their great version of this SCP, but I think we each have our own perspectives on it.

The implication is, Mal0 is just looking for friends. Its app advertises a permanent companion who will never abandon you and will always be there. It doesn't force itself on anyone, you have to accept its offer of friendship. Once you are able to see it in the real world, it approaches and then attempts to communicate with you. Like it wants to chat and hang out, and that's it. It never hurts anyone, just kinda... is there. And if you talk to it, it will sit and listen, patiently, smiling all the while.
If it wasn't so scary-looking, there'd be pretty much no harm at all from its presence. Once you can cope with its appearance, Mal0's not so bad.

There's a deeper reference to this if you live in the UK. If you dial 1471 from a landline it tells you the last number that called. Very appropriate for an SCP about messages coming from unknown numbers!

Honestly, a constant non judging app friend that has no ads and gives vague but understandable advice wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Even if I see it for the rest of my life, as long as it is non-violent, I would be fine with someone that's just nice and cool with whatever.
