There is zero truth in any of this story. The reason behind the rivalry was that Lamborghini made good money from building tractors and bought a Ferrari from his them friend, he hated the clutch on it and complained. Ferrari basically told him, what did know, he built tractors for a living. Lamborghini told him he could build a better car than Ferrari ever could and he did, he built the Muira which was and still is one of the greatest cars ever.

I believe the quote is incorrect . Substitute build . For drive and sports car for Ferrari. The spirit of the statement was . You build tractors what would you possible know about sports cars . But it is correct that it inspired. Lambo . Plus the exclusive club that is Ferrari ownership . Created by the company. Any body that can afford it can buy a Lamborghini.
