Kolkata Doctor Case: Following weeks of protests by junior doctors at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital over the rape and murder of a colleague, the West Bengal government has responded by removing three senior officials from their positions. Dr. Bulbul Mukhopadhyay, the medical superintendent and vice-principal, has been replaced by Saptarshi Chatterjee. Suhrita Paul, recently appointed as the college principal, has also been removed, with Manas Kumar Bandyopadhyay taking over. Additionally, Dr. Arunabha Datta Chaudhuri has been transferred to Malda Medical College, and Dr. Sandeep Ghosh's appointment as principal of Calcutta National Medical College has been cancelled, meeting the demands of the protesting doctors.
