Just bought mine. Everything I've seen on your and other channels convinced me this was the right way to go. I was a bit unsure if I should buy a cheaper one and upgrade later but I decided that this is probably all the drone I'll ever need so went with it. As for your comments about fighting with your wife, I totally get it. I spent many years in the Military and my wife pretty much raised our children by herself, she deserves a medal. Thanks mate. I watched this in 1080p and even then the image quality of the Mavic is far superior. Not just the sharpness, but the color and dynamic range is much better. The Spark seemed a little washed out and smudgy. It looked like it was 720p upscaled to 1080p. I know it wasn't but it didnt llok good if that's it's native resolution. Possibly it's compressing the video too much, degrading the quality. I wonder if you can set the recording bitrate for it.

This review is fantastic! Im getting a Spark for my Christmas present, picking it up tomorrow! I've been making videos for about 10 years as a hobby and never have I owned a drone. All I needed and wanted to know was provided in this review. In the future, when I consider myself at a more professional level, I will be getting a mavic, maybe wait for the mavic 2. A lot of other youtubers, that I highly respect, were saying how it wasn't even worth buying and don't waste your money. They compared it to a phantom 4 and a mavic pro, which lets be honest, we all know the footage from those drones are way more crisp and clean then of the Spark (4k). But they really trashed on it and I thought they did terrible at explaining the drones target audience. Now you sir, you explained all of your thoughts about the Spark in a positive way throughout this review and explained its target audience! THANK YOU! People need to know that this is entry drone can still do shit and get it done at a very good quality! Sure its not as good as the Mavic, but people who are new to flying drones don't wanna go pay $1000 for a Mavic and crash it because they don't know what the hell they are doing. Practice and work really gets you places and I think the Spark is fantastic for that! Thanks again Casey for a positive and honest review! That's why I and others respect you, because you are honest. BTW I spent 14 yrs in the Royal Navy being away from the family sucks. Thank goodness I had an understanding wife too, but saying that, when I left the Navy it was hard for the first year or so 'cos of not being together all the time, she had her ways I had mine but we stuck it out and worked on it. Hence our 32nd wedding anniversary in July was a great celebration. Cheers for your vlogs.
