First mentioned in the Book of Enoch in roughly 300 B.C., he is said to be the most venerated of angels. According to religious texts, Michael commands the legions of Heaven and is often depicted as a great warrior with a flaming sword. In John Milton’s Paradise Lost, the Archangel Michael defeats Lucifer in single combat. He pierces the dragon’s side with a sword from God’s personal armory.

Michael is not just a warrior; he also serves as a guide for souls. He visits people in their last moments to offer them a chance of redemption and carries them to Heaven. It is said that Michael will play a significant role during Armageddon by weighing the souls of the living during Judgement Day.

Ive always had a Archangel Michael figure on my altar. Its a sword in his hand that can be removed..well the sword somehow was lost when i moved to a new home. I looked everywhere for this sword. One day i was walking past the altar and the sword was laying on the table. I have no idea where it came from, who put it there, but it was there. From that point on, I make sure Michael always has his sword in hand.🙏❤️

Michael’s name quite literally means one who is like God which means the closest we have ever gotten to understanding what God is truly like, is looking at Michael a flame sword, wielding warrior who tirelessly searches all corners of existence to destroy and eradicate as much evil as physically possible through his blade. Combine with the fact that God apparently has a personal armory and it makes you wonder who God was when he was younger per se.
