I knew about Gethin. When I first heard I assumed he was with McLaren ‘cause he’d driven the Can-Am car briefly (that year?), but it was actually for BRM.

Alesi avoided the curse of a Chris Amon by winning a single race, thereby avoiding the reputation as the fastest guy never to win an F1 race.
