There's a majestic quality to this scene that can't be matched. Gandalf called Treebeard "... the oldest living thing that still walks beneath the Sun upon this Middle-Earth", and Saruman had been his friend for many years. I think if Saruman had witnessed this scene, he might have been frightened. Nature itself had been outraged, and it was coming to settle up.
