For the first time since the war between Hamas and Israel broke out on October 7, the United States has made it clear that it is willing to withdraw its support for the Jewish state by halting the shipment of weapons if things get further out of control in the Gaza Strip. And the question is, what now? What is Israel aiming for with the assault on Rafah? Why does it refuse to accept a ceasefire? In this video, we will tell you all the details.

At the time this video came out, Rafah is half empty

The video is severly outdated, over 950, 000 people have fled Rafah, not 100, 000

Alright. so killing 1200 is terrorism but killing 30, 000+ is just collateral damage. To whom does this sounds neutral?

Like the US in Afghanistan, there is no winning, just how much can you loose

Its very easy to criticize, yet no one is even pretending to offer any kind of viable alternative. So many armchair generals with nothing to lose themselves not to mentional all those that arent even really paying attention to the reality of the situation

You are contradicting yourself. a 1:2 militant:civilian ratio is actually unheard of given the complexity of the terrain. I am not aware of a better track record of any other military in urban asymmetrical warfare, let alone with such an underground component. So to claim that this kind of ratio is unacceptable is tantamount to surrendering by admitting that your adversary's tactics make them immune to harm, and I would suggest is sheer madness. By this logic, one cannot fight against irregulars who embed themselves among civilians at all, which is suicidal and sends the message that using your own people as human shields pays off. So much for incentives.

Its weird how Hamas says that 30 to 50 Palestinians have the same worth as a single Israeli.

This is not a serious sentence "Netanyahu doesn't seem to care about anything at all"

Posted 11 hours ago.
The operation has begun a week ago, as everyone already saw an Israeli tank take down the "I Love Hasa" sign.
Around 1 million people have been moved already and tunnels crossing to Egypt have already been found.

You're kinda late to the party here :')

P.S
The "Anti Netanyahu" Protest that have been raging since 2010 are representing the voice of the people of Israel the same way the "Pro Hamastinian" Protests represent the people of the West (Including Japan).

We, Israelis, never wanted war. 5 times a 2 state solution was offered, and 5 times it was rejected. 6 times we were attacked with the explicit intent of eradicating us, and 6 times we won and even gave back land that came to our control as a consequence. No more half measures, hamas will never rise again, with or without the support of the world that somehow wants us to negotiate with those that raped our daughters.

You excel at analyzing situations in a balanced and accurate manner, unlike most of the world's media.

Wait, you forgot to mention that in Rafah city there are tunnels leading to Egypt that Hamas used to smuggle most of its weapons, and that Israel believes at least some of the hostages are there.
In addition, if Israel ends up controlling both the Philadelphi corridor (the border with Egypt) and the Be'eri corridor (separates the Gaza city in the north from the rest of the strip), Israel effectively takes over the 2 most strategically important assets in the strip. It could be a great bargaining card for the hostages, or a way to finish the war with a victory even if Hamas survives (via permanent control over the corridors and by extension the Gaza city).

But this already went down and you were wrong about all your speculations…

It's almost 20 years since I talked to an Israeli who shamelessly advocated her solution to the conflict and I admit that it did make sense, but was utterly immoral. She basically said that they need to annihilate them before they get a chance to do it to Israel....

Thank you so much for your awesome content. I always felt that this war was complex and I felt lost following the news, but you make it easier to understand.

Correction: The ratio of terrorists to civilians killed by Israel is 1:1. For comparison, the US killed in Afghanistan 70, 000 people, mostly in the first few months, with a terrorist to civilian ratio of 1:4 !

You talk about international pressure but minimize your mention of the humanitarian crisis. Rafah has been closed, no aid going through. Shame.
