Tanishq: Making Charges

Tanishq launches a TVC explaining that their making charges start as low as 8%.

Long back, I also purchased Jewellery through their saving scheme. They gave one-month installment as a bonus. But they charged 25% Making Charges & Wastage combined together. Their Jewellery items are costly. In the other shops, they charge max 14% only.

So true, its just in video the making charge is 8%, When I visited a Tanishq Jewellery in Noida sector 18 for simple gold ring with absolutely no work on it, They asked me for a making charge of 22.5% and not at all ready to reduce it. I just Ran from there. The cost of making is almost the price of 2gram gold😶. Still they say it start from 8%

Wrong ad - in reality making charges at tanishq are very high (25-30%), as mentioned in few comments below also. More imp, Tanishq charges 24carat gold rate for 22carat gold jewellery. How is this possible - charging 100%purity gold rate for 92%purity gold - this borders on fraud.

8% is just for showcase...you have to pay minimum 25% making changes...you will not see any 8% making charges product

Arre bhai 8% se shuru hote hai and today in one small diamond earring stud cost was 15k in Tanishq and making charges was more than 50% or resale back in Tanishq was just 5k 😢only.I just came back and confused and not decided to buy diamond .

Gye the hum b tanishq 21% se start hote h apke making charges.. yani 5 lac ki jewellery or 1 lac making charges or gst to h hi.. alag level ki loot macha rakhi h inhone.. inka gold price or brand se 2-3k faltu hi rhta hai.. mene poocha itna jada rate kyu golf ka..then c replied ki hmara dealer alag hai..fir jake mene PCJ se li saari jewellery..

We're also a Jewellery firm but we charge 350-400 per gram max for 20CT

I paid 28 percent making charge even after taking their scheme . Please dont buy any jewellery from tanishq . Similar jewellery available in as low as 14- 15 percent from standard jewellers . They give you false hopes of good discount by taking schemes but the reality will totally shock you once you redeem your scheme .

Seriously.... I paid 28% making charges. Stop these stupid fake adds. How could u people do this.

I have seen 33%-50%. Platinum prices are flat at Rs 4000 which is insane compared to Rs 2397 on Bullions. Like can you really say no making charges. The diamond quality can't get worse too. Just agree to disagree you know
