Fun fact Palls in your Party recover Sanity as well even if you have them out and Active.

Maybe the satisfaction of knowing they're specifically Desired to be in direct company of their Master makes them feel better about their lot in life.

[Usual.-]

Use 4 feed boxes max, grow lettuce and tomato for salad and berries too for baked berries (increases work speed + sanity goes up), leave the feed boxes right next to each work area (one by the gardens, one by the ranch, one at the stone and log pits, etc) this is done to minimize pathing problems as pals go to the nearest food boxes. Lastly use at least 2 large saunas and at least 3 small ones if playing with 20 max pals; decrease to 2 large and at least 2 small if 15 max pals.
Edit: Keep in mind pals eat food from the feed boxes in order from left to right of the inventory.

Look here just because they are insane don't mean i don't take care of them. They take a 2min break every 12 days. For food and water they got fresh puddle water. They eat every 12 days on their 2min break. So yeah they're treated well.

This is good to know. I just started playing the game yesterday, so I'm still learning things. I'm currently feeding my pals cooked red berries and cooked mushrooms, so I hope that's okay for early game. I'm going to be playing some more in a bit, so I'll work towards the hot spring recipe.

You see, I'd like to feed my pals better foods.

I tried setting up a farm good enough to feed them consistently with Jam Filled Bread. My pals would guzzle through 50 Jam Filled Bread in like 20 minutes, so it just seemed more time efficient to give em berries.

If the production of cooked goods could be completely automated without needing human interaction to tell it 'Hey, Cook This!' then it might be more worth it.

Extra tip if you got berries to spare ive got over 10k but you can keep feeding them food even after full and their sanity will continue to go up.

They really need to change how the eating system works. The main problem is that if u wanna feed them better food like Bread for example u yourself have to constantly fill up that food box becouse they cant take prepared food from the cooking pot or the campfire so unless u massivly over produce on wheet, flour and bread its gonna run out when your not there to refill it, Especially if u got big guys with an above 250 hunger meter.

I am shoked how few people know this but you could just stolk up on cotton candy and feed it to them which will pretty much restore their sanity fast.
